Easy Smoked Pulled Pork Recipe, So Good You'll Slap Yo Mama

The pork butt is one of those cuts that is relatively inexpensive but is oh so good when properly cooked low and slow.

Here’s my “go to” recipe for smoked pork butt which uses a flavorful injection and dry rub seasoning to really take the pork to a new level.  When preparing this recipe, be sure that the pork butt you purchase hasn’t been enhanced (sometimes labeled as “moist and tender") as it has already been injected with a salty mixture at the factory.

How to Grill a Hamburger
How to Grill a Hamburger

Ask anyone you know what he or she likes to grill and more often than not one of the top answers will be burgers.  The problem is, many of these burgers end up being dry and flavorless due to any number of factors including the type of meat being used, the cooking temperature used, the amount of time they spend on the grill, etc.

But worry no more!  Today Grillocracy's got 10 tips for reaching burger perfection.

Breakfast Burger

March 28, 2015

It's breakfast.  It's a burger.  It's a breakfast burger from yours truly and sponsored by Omaha Steaks.

BREAKFAST BURGER

Ingredients

4 8oz. Omaha Steaks Private Reserve Angus burger patties

2 tsp. Kosher salt

Ground black pepper

1 can refrigerated homestyle biscuits

4 slices cheddar cheese

8 slices ham

4 eggs, fried sunnyside up

4 tbsp. butter

Additional tools needed

Waffle iron

Instructions

Prepare grill for high heat cooking.  As the grill preheats, spray waffle iron with cooking spray and bring it to temperature.  Separate biscuit dough in to 8 biscuits and cook each one separately in the waffle iron for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.

Season both sides of the burger patties liberally with salt and pepper.  Make a small indentation in the center of each burger with your thumb (this will ensure that the burger maintains an even thickness and doesn’t plump up in the center while cooking).  Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for approximately 4 minutes per side for medium rare (130-135 degrees internal temperature).  During the final 2 minutes of grilling, add a slice of cheese to each burger.  Remove the burgers from the grill.

To assemble the burgers, spread butter on the biscuit waffles.  Place each cheeseburger patty on one biscuit waffle, top with 2 slices of ham, a fried egg, and the second biscuit waffle.
