Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, the classic frozen margarita gets a smoky blast in this recipe for Grilled Lime Margaritas!
GRILLED LIME MARGARITA
(serves 2)
Ingredients
4 limes, halved plus 1 lime cut into wedges
1 ounce triple sec
1/2 cup tequila
2 tbsp. sugar
2 cups Ice
1/2 cup salt to rim the glasses (optional)

Prepare grill for medium-high heat cooking (approximately 400 degrees).
Place the halved limes on the grill cut side down and allow them to grill for 5 minutes until lightly charred and caramelized. Remove limes from the grill and juice. Add lime juice, triple sec, tequila, sugar, and ice to a blender and blend.
Optional: Rub lime wedges along the edges of 2 margarita glasses. Pour salt onto a plate and dip glasses in the salt to coat the edges.
Pour margaritas into the glasses, garnish with limes, and serve immediately.
